Table Top Tuesday 13

By Odalys Mendez

For installment thirteen of Table Top Tuesday,  we are inspired by these luminous film images from Odalys Mendez.  It’s a magical table top setting in the woods filled with pretty little details thanks to Kristine Cholakian, Holly Carlisle and Simply Charming Socials.

By Odalys Mendez

What makes this work? The serene setting with sun peeping through the trees draws the eye in.  Also, the light wood tables + chairs add a nice contrast to the greenery backdrop.

By Odalys MendezBy Odalys Mendez

What details make a difference?  Sweet chair adornments like above, black candles in assorted brass candle sticks and the flower arrangements are definitely the highlight.  The use of berries and fruit add great texture to the tablescape.

Brooklyn Grange Wedding Inspiration in Well Wed

By Les Loups

We jumped at the chance when Viva Max Weddings asked us to showcase some vintage china, flatware + table top items at a Brooklyn Grange Farm photo shoot.  We love the idea of a roof top urban farm and better yet, hosting a wedding there!  This shoot was recently featured in Well Wed magazine, here are some of our favorite photos.

Table Top Tuesday | 12

 Peaches and Mint Photography

For installment twelve of Table Top Tuesday,  we are inspired by this elegant table scape by Rock Paper Scissors Events captured beautifully by Peaches & Mint Photography at our favorite vintage wedding venue in New York, The Metropolitan Building.

What makes this work?  The sherbert toned chairs with white and matching peach flowers create balance.  The deeper toned napkins and runner add a bit of drama and a great backdrop to showcase place settings.

What details make a difference?  The natural edge of the white linen table cloth and the relaxed placement of the runner provides a more welcoming vibe juxtaposed to the formal chairs and grand wood table.

2. Using two flat bobby pins, gently pull back front pieces, smoothing hair slightly.  Pin in back as shown.  Attachez vos cheveux.

4 - DIY wedding hair tutorial3. Grab a small portion of hair on each side of your head above your ear.  Braid each and tie up with a micro elastic.  Faites une tresse des deux cotés.

5 - DIY wedding hair tutorial4. Make a ponytail as shown.  Leave out the two braids.  Faites une queue de cheval avec les cheveux restant.

6 - DIY wedding hair tutorial5. Make a small hole in your hair above the elasic.  Neatly put ponytail into the hole, bottom first. Faites un trou au dessus de l’élastique, et mettez vos cheveux dedans.

7 - DIY wedding hair tutorial6. Pin your bun with an open bobby pin.  Attachez votre chignon.

9 - DIY wedding hair tutorial7.  Make your braids bigger by pulling hair apart.  Épaississez vos deux tresses.

10 - DIY wedding hair tutorial8. Pull your braids back and put around your bun in order to create a headband and to hide you bobby pins. Secure with bobby pins.  Enroulez vos tresses autour du chignon pour créer un bandeau et cacher vos barrettes.

11 - DIY wedding hair tutorialNow you are ready for your big night out! Don’t forget to put hairspray on your style so you won’t look like a mess at the end of the party.  Vous êtes maintenant prêtes pour votre soirée ! N’oubliez pas de laquez vos cheveux pour avoir la même tête en fin de soirée…

Special thanks to J, our intern, model + creator of this sweet hairstyle!
