Table Top Tuesday | 4

For installment four of Table Top Tuesday, I am sharing my own little creation photographed by the uber talented Rylee Hitchner at the recent Joy Thigpen Workshop.  I created this centerpiece the day before the photographs were taken and it was looking a little limp, so we decided to pair it with my favorite accessories – dishes, glassware, flatware and a cloth napkin!  I love the way it turned out in the photographs, so soft and dreamy.  Thanks Rylee!

What makes this work?  For me, it’s the soft tones captured on Rylee’s film photography (I heart film) and the abundance of textured pieces I chose for the centerpiece.

What details make a difference?  Those tony blue berries on a slate grey napkin pull it together!  Thanks to Joy for loaning a vintage handkerchief from your kit to make it happen at 7:00am before we all departed for home!

Joy Thigpen’s Creative Direction + Styling Workshop

The Inn at Serenbe was breathtakingly beautiful.  The air was crisp and the sun crept into every inch of the grounds.  I stayed for three days to participate in Joy Thigpen‘s Creative Direction + Styling Workshop with twenty lovely wedding industry women.   It was inspiring and I am grateful to have heard first hand about Joy’s journey.  I look forward to putting much of the knowledge Joy shared into practice.

I roomed with Danielle from Flutter Fete in Dogwood Cottage.  It was adorable and we made sure not to miss breakfast!

The last day of the workshop we created floral centerpieces.  The two directly below are from my new Florida friends; Danielle from Flutter Fete (left) and Yesy from Love In Vintage (right).

The photo above is a detail of my own creation (I really love berries and texture) and below is a full photo.  I had fun creating this piece and can’t wait to practice a bit now that I am back!
