Table Top Tuesday 13

By Odalys Mendez

For installment thirteen of Table Top Tuesday,  we are inspired by these luminous film images from Odalys Mendez.  It’s a magical table top setting in the woods filled with pretty little details thanks to Kristine Cholakian, Holly Carlisle and Simply Charming Socials.

By Odalys Mendez

What makes this work? The serene setting with sun peeping through the trees draws the eye in.  Also, the light wood tables + chairs add a nice contrast to the greenery backdrop.

What details make a difference?  Sweet chair adornments like above, black candles in assorted brass candle sticks and the flower arrangements are definitely the highlight.  The use of berries and fruit add great texture to the tablescape.

Elisabeth Millay Photography - Lyndsey Hamilton Events

For installment five of Table Top Tuesday, there are so many things to love with this design by Lyndsey Hamilton Events!

What makes this work?  Three key elements:  (1) the flatware tied with a ribbon and rosemary  (2) the delicately etched glassware  (3) the slate grey neutral napkin.   The casual nature of the tied flatware paired with more formal etched glassware, makes this table top design stand out!

What details make a difference?  The industrial pipe legged table covered in two natural fabric runners create a great balance between rugged vs. soft. The extravagant chandelier adds an over the top luxurious addition to a rustic surrounding.  Perfection!

Rylee Hitchner Photography Flowers + Styling by Mandy Forlenza Sticos

For installment four of Table Top Tuesday, I am sharing my own little creation photographed by the uber talented Rylee Hitchner at the recent Joy Thigpen Workshop.  I created this centerpiece the day before the photographs were taken and it was looking a little limp, so we decided to pair it with my favorite accessories – dishes, glassware, flatware and a cloth napkin!  I love the way it turned out in the photographs, so soft and dreamy.  Thanks Rylee!

What makes this work?  For me, it’s the soft tones captured on Rylee’s film photography (I heart film) and the abundance of textured pieces I chose for the centerpiece.

What details make a difference?  Those tony blue berries on a slate grey napkin pull it together!  Thanks to Joy for loaning a vintage handkerchief from your kit to make it happen at 7:00am before we all departed for home!

My personal photographs from Joy’s workshop can be found here, in case you missed it.

Mi Belle Photography - XOXO Bride

For installment three of Table Top Tuesday, I have fallen in love with these miniature arrangements in glassware on each place setting!

What makes this work?  The flower arrangements.  Not only are the personal cup-of-flowers the sweetest addition, but the overall color palette and flower selection makes this table scream:  Spring!  The stacked china rimmed with small patterns and abundance of vintage flatware adds a richness to the look as well.

What details make a difference?  The centerpiece ties the small arrangements together beautifully and the ‘just picked’ garden flower look brings sunshine to this table scape.
